Ok, who knows about older Mac’s and wireless internet connections ?? I need a little tech help.

I bought this blue clamshell G3 iBook for Allison to use,

Cute huh? And I got a great deal, only $50.00 on Ebay! Perfect for a kid to use for Webkinz and other kid stuff. I bought an Airport card and my husband installed it. In fact everything works great as long as we remove our wireless internet password. It’s really strange, as soon as he adds the password back it tells me I have the password wrong when I know it’s right and it wont connect online. Which is a problem because my husband does not want us using it unprotected.

Any ideas ???

In less then an hour I’ll be out of this office for four days. I love a nice long weekend. It’s going to be a fun busy one too. I am excited to be having my nephew over for a few days and have all kinds of fun stuff planned from fireworks, picnics and swimming to movie watching.
But first I have tomorrow all to my self. I have a couple of small errands I need to run in the morning but nothing else planned. I think while I am out I am going to pick myself up some lunch and curl up with a chick flick in the middle of the day. Once in a while I can just be crazy wild like that. 

After spending way too much time searching the web for a good deal on a cheap laptop (that actually works), I found a great deal on a used iBook G3 for Bethany. It was a little more then I wanted to spend but I really wanted to get her some thing she wanted, needed and would be excited about for her 21st birthday. I hope she likes it. No, I hope she LOVES it! I think she will.

It was really hard to find a used one for sale that included all the software, an AC adapter, a working battery and an airport card for under $300.00 by a seller with good feedback. This one has all of that, a 10 GB hard drive which has been wiped clean, a 640 MB memory and it runs Mac OS X. I think I found a great deal at $180.00 and with free shipping. Like I said, it’s still more then I should have spent so if you see a few more paid entries on my site for a while, I am working to pay it off.

Has anyone ever had a sleep over with four nine year old girls before ? OH MY GAWD ! There is no way to truly described my night last night other then to tell you I some how survived it. 

Someone is stepping into your territory today, but as threatened as you might feel by them, this is no day to engage in any kind of power struggle with them. You’re better than they are in so many ways, and they are well aware of this—which is why they are making such aggressive moves. But their tactics are only going to backfire on them, so you don’t have to worry about reprimanding them. They just want to bring you down to their level. Don’t go there.

This is so dead on for me today it’s scary! Because my husband is working most of the day and being here with my mother in law on Allison’s birthday is not going to be pretty. To be honest, most days around here since she moved in with us are not pretty.

Her day is going to be filled with family, friends and fun times.

I am so glad it’s finally Friday. My work week is always the same five days but this week seemed to drag on and on. I am sure partly because I have been sick with this cold. Any way, I am glad it’s about over. I leave here in about thirty minutes. Then I have a few stops to make on my way home including picking up my daughter who spent the last four days with my sister and her family. I can’t believe how much I missed her in four days.
Tomorrow she turns nine and we are celebrating with cake and ice cream and have plans for her three closest girl friends to sleep over. There will be Wii playing, smores making, sparklers burning and the usual nine year old girlie stuff going on like beauty masks and pedicures. Should be a good time. Birthday’s are so much fun when you’re a kid.

Thanks to my wonderful sister and her husband I will be childless again tonight. Other then paying a few bills online, it will be a repeat of last night. Hot bath and early to bed.
I HAVE to be better for the weekend !  Allison is having a sleep over party for her birthday on Saturday and I would hate to see how things go if I am sick in bed and her dad has to handle the party. My husband is likely to have them playing Socom and hammering in nails or some thing in stead of the planned pedicures and beauty masks. So not only for me but my daughters sake, it’s lots of rest and fluids again tonight.
