World Trade Center
Very touching and much better then I expected. I almost turned it off about 20 minutes into it and was so glad I didn’t.

All the King’s Men
A good story and a great cast does not always equal a great film. I think I turned it off about 3/4 of the way.

Superman Returns
Loved it! Not sure I loved Kevin Spacey as Lex Luther though.

The Devil Wears Prada
Bethany and I both really liked it. Well worth the rent.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
I missed about 30 minutes in the middle of this movie but what I saw was damn funny. I am thinking of renting it again.

Invincible
I rented this for my husband and ended up really liking it. It’s a great feel good movie. And you can watch it with your kids around.

The Last Kiss
I thought this was a very well made film. So well made that I felt it uncomfortable and painful to watch at times.
A very honest yet depressing look at human nature.

Friends With Money
Again, I thought this was a great film. I felt it played out like a good book. Yet, at times very depressing.

To be continued, I still have four more days of my vacation left.

I caught most of the movie Eight Below on cable over the weekend.
I didn’t expect to really like it, I only watched it because there wasn’t anything else on at the time. Crazy I know, we only have 300 channels.
Anyway, I loved it. A very sweet film you can watch with your kids around.
Now I’ll have to try and catch it again from the beginning.

I thought this movie was really cute. Yeah, I know I am 36 years old and it’s a high school movie but please, we all knew a John Tucker back in the day.

I am really loving Boston Legal again this season.  This weeks episode, the search for Daniel Porter’s head had to be one of the very best Halloween episodes I have ever seen on T.V.

Also, for any one else watching,
how cool is Bethany? I love her spunk. Her and Denny are a riot together. I hope we get to see a lot more of her.

After reading and loving the book, I wasn’t so sure I wanted to see this movie.
You know what it is like when you really love a book, the movie almost always lets you down.
After letting it sit on my DVR for a couple of weeks, I decided to watch it late last night.
I loved it. The ending still moved me just as the book did and touched my heart.
Well done Mr. Martin, well done.

I rented The Omen last night. I was a little worried to watch it alone after hearing from other people how scary the orginal version was. Which I have never seen.

I really like it. I thought it was a beautifully made film. The cinematogrophy, the use of colors I thought were awesome.
Did it scare me? Maybe a little. I jumped once, I turned my head I think three times and I found myself looking around the room a couple of times near the end. I do that when I am alone and uneasy for some reason.

Yep, I would give it 8 or 9 out of 10 stars. Maybe 10 if the little boy was cast better. I didn’t feel he was the right kid for the job.
Oh but I did love Liev Schreiber.  I have always liked him and felt he is under rated.

I have a small list of shows that I follow every season, Boston Legal, CSI:NY, Smallville and of course Nip Tuck.
This season, thanks to having a DVR I have been able to check out a few new shows. Like Ugly Betty, Six Degrees and Supernatural, all of which I like for about a minute.
My favorite new show by far is Brothers & Sisters, Sunday nights at 10:00pm. I am happy to hear that is has been cleared for a full season. It seems every time I get hooked on a new show, it gets canceled.
Speaking of T.V. shows being canceled, does anyone know if Windfall is coming back for another season.
I have my fingers crossed.

Gerry and I watched this movie last night. I have to say it was not on my list to rent. In fact, I am still a little surprised that I agreed to even watch it. I am so not a fan of any movie that has drama or stress in the water. Drowning is one of my biggest fears. I would much rather jump from a plane then jump off a boat into the deep ocean.
Anyway, about the movie, I wont give away any spoilers but there are two scenes, one in an air shaft and one scene with a cage that totally freaked me out. I had to cover my face with my blanket. Very intense.
All in all I wouldn’t say this was a 10 star movie, but on DVD I thought it was pretty entertaining. Maybe a 6 or 7.
If you do rent this on DVD make sure you watch the behind the scenes selection, it’s worth your time.

"Is it necessary to go all the way back to Season One if you are going to get into Nip/Tuck?”

“I cannot begin to express the seriousness of the issue you have put to the floor. YES! By all means, if you have any intention of getting into Nip/Tuck, you MUST start from the beginning. Sure, it’ll take a few episodes to get into the meat of the show and what is so compelling about it, but once you do, you will thank me. Sit through all the character development, story arcs and threads. It will pay off in a rainbow of glory by the time you hit the season where they introduce The Carver.”

As Ryan Murphy promised us, this season is turning out to be some ride!
To me, Nip Tuck is at its best when the doctors get themselves backed in to a corner and we get to see them squirm. Last nights episode was a great example.
I already can’t wait for next week.

I do have to say one thing about last nights show,
So if you don’t want to know, stop right here.

I just love getting ready for Halloween. This past weekend we pulled all the decorations down from the attic.

Hopefully this weekend we can go to the cider mill and pick up our pumpkins.

I really love every thing about this time of year. The weather, the color change. I just wish it would last longer.
