After a long day at work I am really looking forward to sharing a pizza with my husband and watching the season premiere of Burn Notice tonight.
It’s one of the very few TV shows that we both actually like and enjoy watching together.

and I just know this season is going to be really good.

Is any one else watching this show
I don’t agree that it’s really teaching these kids much about real life but I am finding it pretty entertaining to watch.

Now, I am not an Idol watcher but If I had to bet on a winner this season, I’d have to go with Cook. I THINK !
I think it’s funny that the final two are both named David. They are both so different is style but both so talented it’s hard to pick. The only reason I think Cook might win is because he has more of a personality it seems. If I had to pick myself, I think I like Archuleta more. There is just some thing about the sound of that kids voice. Just amazing. Either way, no matter who wins I am sure they both have a very bright future in music.

Not much to blog about today so I thought I would share these couple of videos of Stone Temple Pilots performing on Jimmy Kimmel.

‘Trippin On a Hole in a Paper Heart’

‘Vasoline’

The 90’s were a great time for me personally and this music really takes me back. Takes me back to my 20’s. Right back to the many fun nights I shared with my sister. I think I will always love it because of that.

You know I love boxing! I have loved since the early 80’s and really fell hard when Tyson was in his hay day so to speak. he was “the man”! As I got older and as I spent more time watching boxing as a sport I realized there is a whole lot more to it then just punching some one out. I have picked a lot of favorites over the years and have a list of boxers that I will make sure I watch when ever they are in the ring. One being “my man” Golden Boy Oscar De La Hoya. I know he’s a pretty boy and most fans either love him or hate him and I tried not to like him, I really did but I can’t help it. There is a reason why the Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. match shattered box office records. The two of them together is an awesome and entertaining night of boxing!  Now there is talk of a rematch happening some time in September. If there is one thing my husband could hand me for my birthday that would make me jump up and down it would be Mayweather vs De La Hoya tickets. I can’t even imagine what a great night out that would be. One of these days I am going to experience it for myself and not be watching pay pre- view from my couch. But no matter where I am this will be one exciting night of boxing I wont be missing!

Damn Mary, you are one cool chick !  If I was brave enough, this picture could make for one really sexy blog skin.

I swiped it from Catlin.

Allison and my nephew took over the living room last night for a double feature family fun night. Two family movies, two kids, two sleeping bags, two pizzas, a couple dozen Webkinz and whole lot of fun. The kids seemed to really have a good time.
First we watched Enchanted. I LOVED it ! We all agreed it was a very good movie. Both the kids told me how much they liked it, more then once. I guess it is one I’ll be adding to our collection. Then we put in Water Horse. Being as old as I am, I saw maybe ten minutes of this movie and was out like a light. I woke a few times and both kids had their eyes glued to the movie. That tells me it must have been pretty good. I just asked over breakfast and both movies got two really big thumbs up from these two. I guess our double feature was a success.

I surprised my husband over the weekend with a pizza and beer night, complete with a couple of manly movie rentals. I picked up 30 Days of Night and Chaos. Chaos was nothing I thought it was. Even though we both enjoyed it, I expected high action and more things being blown up. Still, not really a bad movie. It had a few good twists and turns in the story and Jason Statham and Ryan Phillippe were both worth the time. Now, 30 Days of Night is another story. It was pretty good. Better then I expected. Lots of action and suspense, blood and gore. Some scenes were gross enough for me to hide my face but I still thought the movie was a lot of fun.
