There was some shaking going on in my bedroom this morning! And my husband was still at work so it wasn’t any thing fun.. he he he. It was a freaking earth quake! It was the strangest thing.
Just after 4:30 am some thing woke me and I felt my bed shake. It was kind of like a small vibration coming from under my bed. Being asleep I thought it was Roxy, even though she sleeps down stairs. I started to fall back asleep and it happened again. I got up looked around and went to the bathroom. Must have been a dream. Or a really big truck going down our street or some thing? Not even 5:00am yet I laid back down for a while. When I got up for the day I forgot all about it until I heard on the radio that around 4:30 am we had a small earth quake rattle us here in Michigan. Freaky !  We don’t have earth quakes around here. It’s been some thing like 20 years. 

Well, I came home from work and signed the tax papers, the checks and stuffed the envelopes, stood in line at the post office and handed them over.
Now, as I lay here in bed all I can think of is how fast I stuffed them. OH GOD DID I ADDRESS THEM RIGHT?  I HOPE I DIDN’T MIX UP THE ENVELOPES?
Okay, I am just being crazy and stressing myself out for no reason and if I did stuff them wrong, it’s too late now anyway.

It’s been a pretty nice weekend so far.

I had the best visit with Rebecca Friday night and Saturday morning. She is such a happy and sweet baby, just a joy to be around. I even had the chance to dress her up all pretty for a party before she left. Of course I took way too may pictures and posted them on my Flickr page.

Yesterday I saw my husband for more then ten minutes for the first time all week. I am so not a fan of him working 6:00pm to 6:00am ! I’ll be glad when he’s back on days but not as glad as he will be I am sure. Poor guy looks so tired.

Today I plan to finish up all of our laundry and do some house work. Exciting I know but our bedroom is in serious need of some cleaning. It’s been way too easy to just close the door and forget about it lately.

I am going to try and fit in some movie watching this afternoon. I have this one on my DVR from last night.  If I do, I’ll be posting about it here.

I am so, so glad it’s Friday! I am seriously messed up today, I am so tired. I have been running around and awake way too late too many evenings in a row. I had such a hard time getting ready for work this morning. I think my eyes were more closed then open while I was blow drying my hair. So to say I am having a “bad hair day” is an understatement.

This weekend and up coming week alone is all about relaxation! While Gerry works nights and Allison is gone I plan to rent chick flicks and take very long hot baths. Camp out on our nice new big bed with my laptop and some yummy snacks and a glass of wine. R E L A X A T I O N !

Cold rainy afternoons make me lazy. I just watched three hours of One Tree Hill reruns with out getting up off the couch other then to refill my glass of Diet Coke. I feel like I have lead in my butt, I mean I could really take a nice nap about now. If only I had the time. Allison should be walking in the door from school in the next twenty minutes and then we are picking up my nephew for a night of movies, popcorn and Wii playing. Should be a fun night. I guess I better get ready and get my lead butt in gear.

It’s really quiet and slow again today. Most Friday’s have been like this for the past six months. It’s really very sad. I work for a third generation small auto supply company. They have been in business over 65 years. This once was a booming place. Even when I started a few years ago, we had more then four times the orders coming in daily then we do now. These days the big auto makers would rather place their orders with an over seas company at less then a third the price we can make the part for even over ordering their parts by hundreds and then just weeding out the “not so good” parts. Instead of ordering here, where we make it right the first time and stand behind it for years of use. Note, we have held the same prices for the “big three” auto makers for years.
I have decided to ride this job out the best I can. Out of the dozen employees that are here my job of answering the phone and quoting and processing jobs would be one of the very last to go. I am also very fortunate to be working with some pretty great people. I feel for the owner, as he watches all the auto disappear from our state. He is in his late 70’s. In his time, Detroit was the Motor City. I bet he never thought he would see the day we lose all of auto jobs.
Some people say we are headed for or even already going through a recession. I don’t know. I can tell you as a surf the hundreds of homes in foreclosure in my area that this is a sad time here in Michigan. Maybe the whole country? Just wondering, how is your state doing?

That was my head hitting my desk. It is so slow and quiet here at work today I am losing my mind. Yes, I have internet, thank God! But, and I can’t believe I am saying this..... but I am running out of things to Google. I have already searched and watched movie trailers, T.V. spoilers, new Benicio news, and read all my updated blogs, CNN, local news, Google news and my Basset Hound forum updates. Now what?

I was up early this morning cleaning the kitchen and doing laundry. Ya, I am wild like that on a three day weekend. I am not much of sleeper so just not leaving the house at the butt crack of dawn is a treat to me. At noon today I have a hair appointment for a cut and color. Don’t think I am making any changes this time just a trim. Again, I am that wild!  But first, I’ll be digging out my car from all the yucky snow we got last night, three to five inches. I am so over winter! Does Mother Nature not know it is now spring? WTF?

It is such a dark and gloomy day around here that all I can think about is going home and taking a nap. Things have even been extra quiet around the office today. So quiet that if I was alone I swear I would be asleep at my desk by now. At least I have a short week to look forward to. I have Friday off.

Well my mood is much better today then it was yesterday. The sun is out again today and I feel the warmness of spring being just around the corner. I am really trying to focus on that and what warm weather brings, like trips to the park with the girls and back yard BBQ’s.
I am also alone in the office today with very little work to do so I can spend some quiet time catching up on my blog reads and maybe do a little posting here. I have been using some great new products around the house lately that I want to tell everyone about.

Not much going on to blog about . I am not sure if I have the winter blues or if it’s just PMS but I can’t seem to shake this blah feeling I have been feeling the last couple of days. I have lots to blog about here though.

Thanks to my wonderful sister and brother in law who took my daughter and granddaughter home with them for the night last night my house is so quiet this morning. I am sitting here in my dinning room eating breakfast (pita chips & alouette cheese) and blog surfing in peace. I was even up and in the shower early so I would have time to enjoy this. I have the curtains and blinds open and the winter sun is filling each room. It’s a beautiful morning. Thanks Sis ! I feel like it’s my birthday or some thing.
