It is such a dark and gloomy day around here that all I can think about is going home and taking a nap. Things have even been extra quiet around the office today. So quiet that if I was alone I swear I would be asleep at my desk by now. At least I have a short week to look forward to. I have Friday off.
Well my mood is much better today then it was yesterday. The sun is out again today and I feel the warmness of spring being just around the corner. I am really trying to focus on that and what warm weather brings, like trips to the park with the girls and back yard BBQ’s.
I am also alone in the office today with very little work to do so I can spend some quiet time catching up on my blog reads and maybe do a little posting here. I have been using some great new products around the house lately that I want to tell everyone about.
Thanks to my wonderful sister and brother in law who took my daughter and granddaughter home with them for the night last night my house is so quiet this morning. I am sitting here in my dinning room eating breakfast (pita chips & alouette cheese) and blog surfing in peace. I was even up and in the shower early so I would have time to enjoy this. I have the curtains and blinds open and the winter sun is filling each room. It’s a beautiful morning. Thanks Sis ! I feel like it’s my birthday or some thing.
Yesterday I had to dig my car out of ten inches of snow to get to work now the weatherman says we are getting at least eight more inches tomorrow afternoon with no signs of it slowing down until Sunday evening. Sounds like I need to make a store run tonight for anything we might need or want over the weekend. To be honest I really don’t mind the thought of being snowed in over the weekend. It’s the perfect excuse to stay in our pj’s, watch movies and hang out on the computers. I can deal with that for two days !
I had a hard time sleeping last night. It’s sure makes for a crappy Monday.
I have been in the office for only twenty minutes and already all I can think about is going home.
I can not stop yawning. If the caffeine in my Diet Coke doesn’t kick in soon, my head is going to fall forward and smack the desk.
Maybe that will wake me up? Or knock me out and I might finally get some sleep? Not sure I want to know.
Come on caffeine !
Yeah, I think it was a damn good party. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Of course, with a house full of women, good food, a case of beer and a bunch of booze how could it not be a good time? We talked and laughed for hours. I feel so lucky to have such a great group of women to call family and friends.
I also made enough in sales to get the item I was after and then some for free. I love free !
Now I am off to clean up the kitchen, who’s helping?
It’s time to put new tabs on both my car and Gerry’s truck. When it comes to this, I am a total jinx ! I am not kidding. It started three years ago when I lost my tab some where between picking it up and the next morning when I went to stick it on. Then the next time I stuck the tab on the wrong side of my plate. This time last year Gerry was working a lot of hours so I thought I would help him out and I stuck his tab on my car. The night before last he came home and handed me my new tab and said here you go. I laughed and asked him does he not remember the last three year? That’s his job for now on. As simple as it is, he’ll have to go outside and stick on my car. I can handle a lot of so called “men’s work” around the house, I’ll take out the trash, I’ll even mow the lawn if it needs it but when it comes to those stupid tabs, I am leaving it up to him for now on. Because it was dark out, he laughed and said “I’ll do it tomorrow but you better put it in your purse just in case you get puled over in the morning”. Well, what the hell do you think happened? I looked in my purse this morning and the damn tab peeled off the paper and is stuck to my date calendar. I am so not looking forward to telling him tonight. Can’t say I didn’t worn him! I am a tab jinx!
I feel worse today then I did over the weekend. The pain is still pretty bad in my lower back and I have a pressure feeling across my pelvis area. I am now a little worried there might be some thing else going on other then a kidney infection. I hate to over think it like that so I am giving the antibiotic more time to work before I spend the money of going back to the doctor. I just hope I feeling better soon because this is getting really old.
I have been taking it easy today, doctors orders. I am fighting a nasty kidney infection. I thought that the pain I have been having in my lower back all week was my endometriosis acting up but as it turns out, nope, it is a kidney infection. So it’s been there a while. Bad enough that the doctor wanted to put in the hospital this morning unless I promised 24 hours of bed rest and to take my pills. So of course I promised. I have been laying around fighting off a fever and watching movies and yes taking my pills.
After looking around the house for an hour last night and knowing it had to be there some where. I found the missing basket of laundry!
I remembered that I had slid some heavy boxes and other crap in to our bedroom attic a least a week ago. About the same amount of time I have been missing the clothes, hum? So I pulled open the door that we keep nailed shut and I’ll be damned, there it was. Under a Christmas wreath and a box of baby toys there was my basket of laundry. How the heck I put it in there with out realizing it is beyond me but I am glad I found it.
