I caught most of the movie Eight Below on cable over the weekend.
I didn’t expect to really like it, I only watched it because there wasn’t anything else on at the time. Crazy I know, we only have 300 channels.
Anyway, I loved it. A very sweet film you can watch with your kids around.
Now I’ll have to try and catch it again from the beginning.

Allison has her best friend over for a sleep over.
So far there has been pizza for dinner, a game of Bingo, music, dancing and singing and now they are in the living room with the lights off watching Goosebumps.
Fun times.
Now, I just pray they will sleep after watching these creepy movies. Momma is wiped out.
I just ordered Roxy her Christmas gift.
Shhh… don’t tell her.
Now all I have left to buy for my girls are their stocking stuffers.
I spent the day yesterday baking with my Aunt, Sister and Step Mom.
Making many Kieflie cookies every year has been a tradition in my Step Mother’s family for generations.
We made traditional nut and a few fruit. All came out wonderful.
The best of all for me was just being a part of things and spending the time with people I love.
I think it might have put me in a holiday mood. Some thing I have been having a little trouple with this year.
OMG, I just ate our last little Kit Kat bar!
I have been sneaking one into the computer room two some times three evenings a week since Halloween.
I think I may be addicted.
I don’t know if any one noticed that I have been a little M.I.A. lately.
This past week has been so stressful and emotional.
Little over a week ago I found out that my nineteen year old, unemployed, uninsured and very immature daughter is pregnant. She was over a week late so I made her take a home test. It was positive. Not a total shock because she has been pretty much living with her boyfriend for the past three months, sadly I think it is all too predictable.
Next I called around and found a near by teen pregnancy center. We had to wait a few days for their late night because I work during the day and I took her in for another test and prayed that it would prove the first one wrong. When the second showed positive, I broke down. At that point no matter what she chose to do, I knew there were some very hard days were ahead.
It took her about four days to decide that she is going to have the baby.
So, the past couple of days have been filled with phone calls and making appointments to find government programs and a doctor.
I guess just knowing what we are dealing with, I feel some what better then I did a week ago. She will be twenty years old by the time she has the baby, three years older then I was when I had her. My mother and grandmother were also very young.
I was just really hoping that both my girls would not be following this cycle in our family of young, unprepared mothers. Even though I know things always work out. It is such a hard road!

My horoscope for today tells me to “go out and buy yourself something lavish and unnecessary” .
He he he… maybe I should hit the mall on my way home today? Tell my husband I had no choice, it was in the stars.
I have bought two gifts so far and one is for myself.
I need to get with it, only 28 days left. I am such a slacker.
Hope your holiday is filled with good food, family, friends and lots of laughs!
