Allison came home from school early yesterday with an ear ache. So, I spent most of my evening sitting in the urgent care waiting room surrounded by coughing, sneezing and whining kids and trying not to breathe in hopes of staying well. Turns out my girl has an infection in both ears. She is on two meds and will be on the couch and cartooning it for the next day or two.

We had a great time.
Bassets, bassets, everywhere.
Lots of cute pictures on Flickr.
Tomorrow is our Michigan Basset Waddle a 10 block walk to raise money for basset hound rescue groups and Roxy is ready. With the high being only 60 degrees for tomorrow, she is pretty in pink in her new jacket.
After a nasty afternoon storm I came home from work Tuesday to no power. Our whole neighborhood was out for just over 24 hours.
I can remember a time when that might have been a fun thing, but now that I am all grown up and have to worry about morning alarms for work, and a fridge full of food going bad, it’s not so much fun.
I can only say one thing about last nights show,
GO IAN !!!
Ian & Cheryl get three tens for the first time.
We recently rented a few of movies. Thought I would share my two cents.
The Hitcher ,
I thought it was pretty good. I would say worth the money to rent. I was glad not to have spent top dollar to see it in the theater but for a DVD rental, not too bad.
Smokin’ Aces ,
I thought this movie was great. A whole lot of action and fun. This one I would have enjoyed seeing in a theater and not complained about the price of the ticket. Well worth it.
Harsh Times ,
With out a doubt, the worst movie I have seen in a very long time. Enough said!
I had a very nice Mother’s Day. I spent the day with my girls and we had my mom and grandma over this afternoon for some BBQ. I think everyone had a good time.
Including Roxy. Who for the most part of the day stayed on her bed, giving us all the eye.
Bethany, Allison and on the way is my granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn.
With the birth of my granddaughter getting closer, I can’t help but stress some about being my daughters birthing coach. I am happy and proud to be there for her but I have to admit, I am a bit nervous. I hope I have what it takes to be a good coach. To be able to be strong when she needs me to be. Some one asked me if I plan on cutting the cord. I hadn’t even thought of that! I guess I should. I mean how many grandma’s get that chance?
Thank goodness I have my husband to help me out, he was an amazing coach when we had Allison. I am really counting on him to give me some tips before it’s time.
Looking at my calendar I can not get over how busy the next month or so is going to be. I am booked a few evenings each week and every weekend between now and my daughters baby shower, on June 10th. After that it looks pretty clean. Good thing, maybe then I can rest up some before little Rebecca gets here. The time is going to fly.
I have been watching this show from the beginning and have loved every episode but I have to say this week’s show really takes the cake.
He he he...pun intended.
The very best episode yet!
