I work for a man who collects cars. Last I heard he has some where around 60. It’s his life long hobby and a massive investment for his future. One evening after work he gave me a grand tour of all of his “babies” they were beautiful to say the least. I saw rows and rows of restored shinny classic cars and a few newer sports cars. A couple of the newer cars had custom car covers on them to keep the dust and dirt off and one had a Lebra Car Bra on the front. It looked really cool but I had to ask him what purpose it has other then looks. He told me it was the best thing to protect his car against rocks, dirt, bugs, and other minor road hazards. He would be the guy to know. Just before leaving he also taught me all about Dashmat Dash Covers, some thing I have never head of but thought it looked really cool. They can ever be personalized so you can give in the inside of your car a little individuality. I’d say for a some one who works in a machine shop, I sure have learned a lot about cars over the last couple of years.

Friday night’s Harvest Fest at Allison’s school was a big hit again this year. We sold a ton of pizza and cupcakes! I think it was some where around 9:30pm when we finally got home from helping with the clean up. My feet were so tired. I signed up for a one hour shift and ended up working four hours. Not that I minded, it was a lot of fun, just tiring at the end of the night. Two of the other moms that were suppose to help behind the pizza table walked in, looked around and said “well, I see you have enough help” and pretty much ran away and disappeared in to the party with their kids. I just don’t get that. Why sign up to help out at your kids school and not follow through. But it all worked out, I guess.

Last evening Bethany and I went to her aunts baby shower/ cocktail party. It was a lot of fun. I got to visit and catch up with a lot of women in her family that I haven’t seen in years. It was a good size group and a lot of laughing. I bet the ladies downed a good couple cases of beer, a few bottles of wine and there was even a large bowl on ice filled with jello shots. My kind of baby shower!  Too bad I had to miss out, I had to drive Bethany and Rebecca home so there was no drinking this time for me. Not the same could be said for my daughter.

Today we have plans to go to my sister’s this afternoon. Our husbands have doors to hang in their house and we have Webkinz to shop for with the kids. I am looking forward to it. It’s always a good time when we are together.

I can not believe how busy today has been. Our office is usually very quiet on Fridays and with the boss gone on vacation for five days, I was counting on getting in some real blogging time and giving my Middle Aged Fangirl blog some attention today. Instead I have had to actually work almost the whole time I have been here. Real work, as in making blue print notes and processing orders and crap. Damn, some times it stinks to be the mouse and it doesn’t even matter if the cat is away.

Last nights episodes of 30 Rock and The Office really had me rolling. I can’t remember the last time I laughed that hard at television.
That there was some damn good T.V. my friends. If you don’t watch these two shows, you are missing out.

Both of these shows last night were filled with some hilarious lines, I sure wish I was able to quote them.

As for the season premiere of Scrubs, it was just okay. Not nearly as good as I had hoped. Not sure what I would have done different but I felt a little let down after waiting so long for it to return. Hope it’s better next week. But hey, two out three ain’t bad.
