My beautiful little niece turns one year old today. Just like with my own kids I can not believe how fast a year goes by. She is just amazing, such a pretty girl and oh so smart. Just like her mom.
We spent the afternoon yesterday at my sister’s house celebrating. It was a good time.

A few movies worth watching,

Mr. Brooks -
I am huge Kevin Costner but this was far from his best. The story was really good but the movie it’s self I thought just didn’t flow right. It was really good in spots and others really corny or over the top. Worth renting but I was glad to have not seen it at the show.

In the Land of Women -
Some times Bethany and I think the best DVDs to rent are the chick flicks we have never heard of or the ones that just didn’t do well on the big screen. Well, this was one of those movies. We were both sucked in and enjoyed watching it.

Lonely Hearts-
I had never even heard of this one. I rented it off our cable system and Gerry and I watched late last night. Ten minutes in to it I was ready to walk away. Twenty to thirty minutes in to it I was glad I didn’t. I thought it was a really good movie. Pretty disturbing at times and I had to turn my head in a couple of scenes but I thought it was defiantly worth watching.

Daily BS

Maybe it’s my age showing but I now hate to shop on the weekends. I just hate how crowded all the streets and the stores are. I had to go to three different stores today for a birthday gift and some groceries and dealing with all of the people that were out today had me nice and cranky by the time I got home. I am making an effort from this point on to get any running around and shopping done during the week. This might be hard with the holidays coming up but I am sure going to give it a try.

Thank you for all of your good thoughts and prayers. It’s a done deal! My husband starts his new “DAY” job on the 12th. And here we were thinking after he put all of his cards on the table they might just not call him back again. Well they did and they gave everything he asked for in writing. It’s a big step in to management and big deal for us. I am so proud of him.
It’s going to be so nice having him home in the evenings again.

We had another fun Halloween this year. A house full of family, friends, food and lots of laughs is always a good time to me. I think we had 12 people over. It was a lot of work, doing all the cleaning, cooking and clean up after wards. Not that I don’t really enjoy it but I sure was wishing I had taken two vacation days when I heard that alarm clock go off this morning. I just might have broke my record for how many times I hit that snooze button and still made it to work on time.

I thought the season premiere was great. My opinion is it was the best season premiere since season two. From what I have read and seen on the up coming episodes, the show is getting back in touch with it’s roots. For a little while they seemed to be losing their way. I am so looking forward to this season.
Of course I had a blast watching it with my sister. If only I had every Wednesday off so we could watch it together every week.
