All of our furniture looks great. We are really happy with the choices we made. Allison’s room is just about done but our room is still in boxes while my husband is moving cable wires and replacing old outlets. I am loving the new mattresses, what a difference a pillow top makes. The past two night’s I have slept like a baby. I am loving all of it so far.

The delivery men are almost done bringing in our new bedroom sets. So far so good. The only bummer is that Allison’s bed is on back order and wont be here for another few weeks. But I can live with that as long as every thing is right.

I can’t believe how much work this has been. It’s just like moving. Thanks to my brother in law coming over to help out we were able to empty both bedrooms last night. Then Gerry and I were up to about 1:00 am cleaning every thing we could.
As I type this I am sitting on the couch behind piles of toys and pillows from Allison’s room. The dinning room is filled with mattresses and overflowing totes of stuff from both bed rooms. It’s crazy in my house this morning.

As soon as they are done setting every thing up then Gerry and I plan to play around with a few ideas of how to set both rooms up. Then the fun starts, putting all of our stuff away! Allison’s room is going to be the challenge. She was way too much stuff.

Of course I forgot to take before pictures but when things are all done I’ll be posting after pictures. I am so excited.

I can’t wait !

Today we made the cookies ! Many Kieflie cookies ! I think we counted well over 500 when we were done and that is after each of us eating three or four or seven.

Making home made Kieflies is a tradition passed down in my step mother’s and sister’s family for generations. I am so happy to be a part of carrying it on. It warms my heart at the thought of my daughter, grand daughter and niece doing the same in years to come. 

The best part of Kieflie day is spending it with my family. For me, it’s what this time of year is all about.

more Wordless Wednesday

I am really starting to stress over our bedroom sets being delivered on Saturday morning. We got a call yesterday while at work saying our mattresses have been discontinued and we need to come in and order a new set. It took an hour to determine that they were not discontinued but that the product number had changed and on top of that they wanted to charge us an additional $110.00 because the price went up in the process. Oh, I think NOT! A price increase after we purchased it is not our problem.  We ordered and PAID for our order on 11/20. The sales person told us the whole order had to be redone to fix this price issue. Again, not my problem! Just get it right!
Now we found out that Allison’s head and foot boards wont be in on time to be delivered with the rest. I guess I can live with that as long as it IS coming and every thing else is right.
Also, I am stressing about removing all of our old furniture in time. I didn’t realize how busy this week is for us. We might have to remove it early, like tomorrow night and live out of boxes and totes until Saturday.

Not bad considering today is my wedding anniversary !

Happy Anniversary to my amazing husband who makes everyday we are together even better then the day before.

I am totally hooked on their music !  I had only heard of them and seen a few freaky looking photos on line until recently. I stumbled on to one of their songs on a friends website. Since then I have down loaded all that was available on iTunes and have been blasting their music ever since.  I am so surprised at how good they are.

And Juliette, I knew she was fucking nuts but man can she sing!  I feel like I have been missing out all this time.
