We rented American Gangster last night. Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe both were fantastic as always, both are so talented. In fact I found everything about the movie to be very well made but it felt way too long and just a lot of the same old gangster stuff we have already seen so many times. Only in Harlem. This coming from me, a huge gangster film fan. I am surprised, I expected to love this movie but I didn’t. Maybe it was mood but I was bored out of my mind.

We watched it Saturday night and I enjoyed it. As a matter of fact we watched the unedited, uncut version and it didn’t seem long to me at all. I think that’s because I really like true stories. I do admit however it wasn’t the blockbuster I thought it’d be.

I probably won’t even bother renting it then. I’m not as big of a fan of gangster movies as you so I’m sure I would be twice as bored.

Hmm. It’s probably a good thing then that we passed on watching this movie. good to know. :D

Really!!  Wow!  You are the only person who wrote a review that had any negative aspects.  I haven’t seen the movie and wasn’t really planning to, I’m not a big fan of gangster movies.
Plus, I saw Denzel in Training Day and that was gangster enough for me!

You know I tagged you right??
