Bitching

NEVER let a family member that does not blog any where near your blogging world, at all, even your Flickr page because they will some how think it has some thing to do with them and make it personal.

I am thinking I might have to move my main blogging else where.
This make me very sad because I love this domain.

I know my family reads my blog so I am very selective about what I put on it. Sorry this happened to you.

Ouch!  I learned that the hard way many years ago.  Good luck getting the two worlds separated again!

Ooooh, that’s not good.  I don’t blog any juicy stuff, but I still worry about that happening.  I don’t *think* my family knows where my blog is, etc...at least, I hope!

Jenn, I have quite a bit of experience when it comes to what we post on our blogs, and what other people think of it.

But THIS is your blog. It is NOT theirs.
If they are feeling insecure because they misconstrued something you wrote, or a picture on your flickr account, that is on THEM.

If it indeed had nothing to do with them, your conscious is clear and you have nothing at all to worry about.
The only time a blogger should be worried about what they write on their blogs, is when they are employed outside the home and have discussed any part of their employment.
People have and continue to be fired from jobs for their blogs.

Family members? What can they do? Stop sending you a Christmas card? Not speak to you at the next reunion?
Oh my, how tragic and very immature of them. *eyeroll*

This is YOUR blog, you have a right to discuss anything you want on it as long as you don’t post lies about anyone.
No one likes to be sued for slander...LOL

I hope that you get this resolved and you don’t have to move your blog.
It would be a terrible shame to have to lose a part of your life because a family member is feeling insecure.

Hold your head up high, keep on blogging. smile

Oh I hate that.  I have been lucky in that family hasn’t said much to me about it.  Now my sister even wants one...my brother was the first.  Plus I tend to ignore peoples feelings...just kidding.
