I am taking my daughter to her monthly check up this evening.

Even though she is in no way ready to be a mother, I am starting to get use to the idea of having a baby around. I just keep reminding myself that everything will be okay and how many people she has that love her and will be around to help.

Our OB has a small ultrasound machine in her office and is planning on using it this visit. It would be great if she can tell us the sex of the baby already. We all have our fingers crossed for a boy.

Of course it goes with out saying that all that matters is that the baby is healthy, boy or girl.

*update* We had to reschedule for next week, the doctor had to leave to deliver a baby. So no news yet.

But I really want her to have a boy.

Somehow, I just don’t think you really needed to add that last statement.  That you are standing by and helping your daughter through this makes the rest seem just obvious.

I’d be getting so nervous.  I was a wreck waiting for my little sister to have her first one.  Good luck.  I hope all is well and good with the baby.

I think it’s very good that you’re so honest about everything!
