In some ways I can’t believe Allison will be back home tomorrow night already. These two weeks went by so fast. Yet there have been a lot of moments like this morning when I went in to her room to feed her bunny my heart kind of ached a bit. I really miss her. Two weeks is a long time for my eight year old to be gone so far from home.
I also got her post card from France today. I can’t wait to hear all about everything.

Wow has it been 2 weeks already? where does the time go? They say time goes by faster as you get older, I’m starting to believe it.

I know you will all be so happy to see each other, and hear all of Allison’s stories!
I found when Shannon was away for three weeks last summer, she didn’t have as many “stories” as I expected right at first. They emerged over her first few days at home. It was like she needed some time to process them.
I bet you can’t wait for that first big hug and kiss!!!

That’s so sweet! I went on vacation for a month when I was her age, with my brother and my aunt… I was really glad to see my parents again but I had so much fun there.
