Every morning when I get in the office, I sit at my desk and spend at least ten minutes drinking Dt. Coke and logging in, logging in to our office network, logging in to Windows, then logging in to my Gmail, my Yahoo mail, Twitter, Flickr, Vox and Expression Engine. Then most days, I sit here and try to look some what serious as I surf the web for about twenty minutes for any new news I might have missed while alseep the night before.
Once in a while I have days like today, where I am pretty much alone in the office, then I become a real slacker. I have been here just over an hour and haven’t done a damn thing but read my sisters blog to see how she is doing this morning and surfed for any new spoilers on the fifth season of Nip Tuck.
God bless the inter net! What would life be like with out it? I might actually be working right now. Scary.

Now, if you will excuse me, I need to go read my horoscope on four different websites, another morning ritual I have. Surely one of them has some thing good to say .

I also do all the essential logging in.  Then I check my Google Reader to see who has posted since last night.  Check email.  Check Flickr to see my friends new pics.  Then I check my gossip sites (internet crack) - TMZ, PerezHilton, etc.  Then I start thinking about what I am going to post about for the day…

Rinse and repeat!

I wonder now what I used to do before we had internet at work. It seems all I do now while the music is playing is surf the web. That is of course when I’m not updating our station website, answering phones or scheduling promos.

Remember when just about everyone was playing Solitaire on their computers at work? Oh, the simple life ...
