Our girl digs tools.
Since Allison has become quite the foreman during our basement construction,
her dad came home with a new tool box filled with tools of her very own.
She was so excited. She must have thanked him ten times.

That’s awesome. I wish my parents had encouraged stuff like that with me. Seriously, it’s so nice to be able to fix things yourself, rather than have someone do it for you. I had to self-teach myself to be “handy.”
If (and it’s a big if) I ever have kids, they’re gonna know how to fix things around the house, the car, and the computer. Because damn, I hate having to get stuff fixed and always wondering if I’m being overcharged, or if they’re breaking other things while they’re fixing things, just for their own job security.
