Yesterday my grandmother had a heart attack, while she was walking the halls of her apartment building undressed. A lady that works in the building found her about 6:30am and call 911. Thankfully it was a minor heart attack but over the past few months her health has been going down hill real fast. When she leaves the hospital she’ll be moving in to a nursing home where she can get the care and looking after she needs for now on.
It’s such a sad part of life. I know every one says this but I really do not understand why getting old has to be so cruel and unfair. When you work all your life, raise you family and have already lost your husband, it should be a time to sit back, relax and laugh.
Well, if I had my way it would be.

I hope your Grandmother does well, and that the nursing home offers her some good cheer and happiness. Lots of visitors helps.

I’m so sorry to hear this.
I agree with your philosophy. My personal one has always been that if there has to be nursing homes, they should all be someplace like Aruba, where the weather is beautiful all the time, and you could have the natives bring you your medicine in Coconut cups with little umbrellas.
You are so right, getting old can be cruel. Hope your grandmother is doing better.
So sad, I will say an extra prayer for your grandmother tonight. This past year both of my grandmothers had to be moved into a nursing home - conveniently for my parents it is the same nursing home; its a nice one I suppose but it is still so sad and hard to recocile in my mind that this is now their home. I will keep you in my thoughts!
I’m sorry to hear about your grandmother...it is a tough thing to happen, and horribly unfair!
I’m so sorry. It really isn’t fair that you’ve worked so hard all your life and then you end up like that...poor thing. I’ll be thinking of you guys!
