Ok, who knows about older Mac’s and wireless internet connections ?? I need a little tech help.
I bought this blue clamshell G3 iBook for Allison to use,
Cute huh? And I got a great deal, only $50.00 on Ebay! Perfect for a kid to use for Webkinz and other kid stuff. I bought an Airport card and my husband installed it. In fact everything works great as long as we remove our wireless internet password. It’s really strange, as soon as he adds the password back it tells me I have the password wrong when I know it’s right and it wont connect online. Which is a problem because my husband does not want us using it unprotected.
Any ideas ???
I copied the computer specs in case that makes any kind of difference…

the problem is the encryption. most likely the mac can only use an older version of encryption. I had this issue with windows XP as well, WEP2 doesn’t work on windows XP all the time.
But yeah, since you can run 10.3 only, that probably doesn’t have the newer encryption.
Try using an older version of WEP, like just WEP. that should solve your issue.
