Well my husband came home last night and told me there was still hope on his job offer and he’s not writing it off just yet. I guess he gave them his counter offer this afternoon and if it is meant to be, they will come to an agreement.
So, now we just wait for their call. I hate to wait.
I had no idea that grown ups and large companies like this played these kind of games. I thought, an offer was an offer, take it or leave it. I guess I just learned some thing new.
So again, please keep your fingers crossed. This may just work out to our benefit after all.

They must want him if they came back with another offer. Fingers are crossed!

Things sure have changed when it comes to getting jobs nowadays hasn’t it? I remember a time when you could walk in, give your resume, be interviewed that day and sometimes even offered the job right then and there. Now even simpler jobs negotiate and multiple interview it seems.
Good luck to hubby, what is meant to be should be.

I hope it all works out. It is hard to imagine all the negotiations that have to go along with this sort of thing. My husband hates his job and would love a new one but the politics of finding a new job sometimes are worth the hell he has to endure in the job he is in.
