I don’t know why but lately I have been thinking a lot about our life insurance policies. When you have kids, you have to wonder, is it enough? Do I need more? How often should I shop around for new quotes? I am thinking it’s time for Gerry and I to call around and compare some prices. But who do I call and who has the time to make those kind of appointments and spend hours trying to go over all that small print after working all day? Not us!  I can tell you that.
I didn’t know you can get real honest quotes online with Insurance Portalonline! Now that I found their web site, I am thinking I should get a new quote on our auto & home insurance while I am at it.
It doesn’t get any easier then checking it out online while I am in my PJ’s!

We spent 2006 getting life insurance on Martin.  We’d never really thought of it before but the years from when he wants to retire (52 until he can get his actual retirement from his pension, 60 maybe?) During that time if something happened to him I would need to make sure I had enough to be able to maintain the home and the pets.  After looking further we needed life insurance after he stops working period.  It was something else...all these physicals and blood tests.  He was 47 and a 30 year policy put him to 77 so he had to be put through the ringer.  I was shocked since on TV they act like they want to give it away.  He is in really great shape so it paid off but it is hard to get a big policy once you’re older!
